Non-invasive diagnosis of seed-viability using infra-red thermography

Protocol

Overview

In a recent paper in PNAS Kranner and colleagues present a novel method to assess seed viability non-destructively using IR thermography. The authors demonstrate their method on Pisum sativum, Triticum aestivum and Brassica napus seeds and discuss its strengths, limitation and potential applications.
